THE GREAT AWAKENING

The Great Awakening-In God We Trust

The three most important races this fall ... * Posted by Judson Phillips on September 28, 2010

Five weeks from today, we go to the polls.  Five weeks from today, we fight back against the Obama/Pelosi/Reid axis of fiscal evil.  To paraphrase
George W. Bush as he stood at the wreckage of the World Trade Center,
Obama does not hear us.  Pretty soon, he will hear from all of us.

Of all of the races out there, three qualify as the most crucial and the three that must be won.

In Delaware, Christine O'Donnell beat liberal Mike Castle and now has an uphill fight in the general election.   In West Virginia, conservative
John Raese is facing liberal West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin and in
Illinois, liberal Democrat Alex Giannoulias is running against liberal
Republican Mark Kirk.

We must make certain that O'Donnell, Raese and Kirk win.

Yes, for those of you now in shock, I said, we need to make certain that liberal Mark Kirk wins.   No, I have not lost my mind, nor have I sold
out to a Republican slate.   Mark Kirk is a liberal.  He was one of a
handful of Republican congressmen to vote for Cap and Trade.  I know
what he is.  But, for right now, he has value to our movement.

Why?

You see, all three of those I just named are being elected to replace Senators who were appointed to replace Senators who either died or who
resigned.  By law, in each of those three states, the newly elected
Senator takes office IMMEDIATELY.

With the GOP almost certain to take control of the House of Representatives  and either taking control of the Senate or being within a hair of doing
so, the liberals know they have lost their chance to control
government.  Their last chance to cram socialism down our throats will
be a lame duck session.   They will still control the House.  But in the
Senate, the story is different.  In the Senate, with only 41
Republicans, the filibuster is an option to the Democrats only have to
pick off one Republican to beat the filibuster.  If we can help those
three win, then it becomes much easier for the GOP to filibuster
anything that comes out of the House in a lame duck session.

I can easily recommend people go out and support O'Donnell and Raese.  Even with Kirk, I hold my nose and tell people to go out and support
him.  I know what kind of a Senator he will be over the next six years,
but right now, we need him for the next six weeks.  And as bad as he
maybe, he is better than the alternative.

For each of these, please consider what you can do to help.  Either contribute or if you are close enough, go spend a weekend volunteering
for them.
