The only people surprised by this drop in Obama's popularity rating will be people who religiously read the MSM and believe what they read. In other words, the farthest removed from reality. It really is not surprising that Bush had a higher rating in the Middle East, because he was not generally seen as betraying his country and slapping his friends in the face. People are basically the same everywhere: A person who tries to make friends with traditional enemies and enemies with traditional friends will be despised everywhere. It is incredibly naïve for anyone to believe they can pull off such treachery, even among the people of the nation that is being wooed. No one likes a traitor or an adulterer.
