Here's another chance to meet Melissa Bean as she tries to persuade voters that the financial industry "reform"
bill she helped to draft is a good thing. They are all about the new financial industry bill. She obviously views that as a success, and wants to promote it to voters rather than
talk about anything else.

Some Questions:

1) It doesn't address the underlying causes of the economic downturn (Fannie and Freddie, for example, receive no attention in the
reform law)
2) It creates a permanent bailout process
3) It exacerbates "too big to fail"
4) It unfairly hurts small businesses
5) It will kill innovation in this country because capital and investment funds will not be
available for inventors, entrepreneurs, and small start-up companies (Capital is
the lifeblood of an innovative economy)
6) It will handicap the United States in the global economy
7) It will drive small banks out of business
8) It will drive up the costs of each and every bank transaction for American families
(including monthly fees, ATM charges, excessive credit card fees)
9) Unnecessary and burdensome regulations (including nonsensical gender/race
quotas)
10) Expands the federal bureaucracy, almost without limit

Note that she attracted over $600,000 in PAC donations from the financial services industry for this campaign, while individual donations have
dropped
