Dear Friends:


This Wednesday, the League of Women Voters is hosting a Candidate Forum at Grayslake Central High School. Representative Melissa Bean has confirmed her attendance! The auditorium seats 300...let's put 600 people in there! This is the only event she has agreed to attend after months of turning down debate invitations, hiding from constituents, and avoiding having to defend her votes. Let's show her loud and clear that there are a lot of you with questions. It is imperative that we make it clear to Ms. Bean that we don't appreciate the fact that she has been hiding from her constituents and that she needs to answer your questions.

The forum begins at 6:30, show up early because who knows, she may bus in people from outside the district to prevent you from finding a seat. Spread this message around...let's get everybody out in force, let Ms. Bean know what we think of her voting record, and demand that she participate in another debate or two before this election. She's been hiding from us for too long and the stakes are way too high.

If we have an overflow crowd maybe we can show her there is demand for a real debate! Again, the details are:
