I was told late yesterday afternoon that I AM 4 Kids is on the desk of U.S, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, AND is an agenda topic for a meeting in DC on April 6th. I was told to expect a call from the Department of Education sometime in the next week and that it is possible (but not likely) that I may be invited to attend.
This was facilitated by Dr. William Truesdale. He is the Principal of Douglas Taylor Elementary - the first Chicago Public School to sign up for I AM 4 Kids. He is championing our program both locally and nationally. He has a long-standing relationship with Secretary Duncan from his days as Chicago Public Schools CEO. Dr. Truesdale is going to personally endorse the program at the meeting on the 6th.
