HR5175 Discolsure Act

This bill is scheduled to come up for discussion during the week of June 14th. It's purpose is to "Amend the Federal Election Act of 1971" by increasing government regulations on free speech and targeting individual members of organizations while excempting labor unions from such regulations.

Bloggers beware the Disclosure act aims to silence political speech by intimidation & onerous regulations.

Any person or origanization who wants to place an ad, pay for a billboard or promate an on line campaign for or against any canditate will be subjected to these new regulations..It may be fine for organizations who can afford the time and money but the little bloggers will probably be shut down.

This bill has 114 co sponsers including from Illinois Bill Foster, Jesse Jackson, Phil Hare and Dan Lipinski
