The American unions died today in Wisconsin, the home of the American progressive movement.

Causes of death: bloating, greed, self delusion, old age, and obsolescence.  

The union was surrounded by its equally moribund relatives including communism, socialism, progressivism, and liberalism.

The union is survived by conservatism, traditional values, and the Tea Party.  

Funeral services will be held in all 50 states.
