A message to all members of The Patriot Caucus PAC
Patriot Caucus Members,
Earlier this year it was announced that the Patriot Caucus was looking to reinvent itself in a big way. This move included a major overhaul of our online network and a combined effort with several other large-scale tea party movement minded groups.
Sharron Angle, the tea party candidate who mounted a 27 million dollar campaign for Senate against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, helped us get off the ground and we’re very grateful for her endorsement of our efforts.
Now that we’ve looked at our options, studied the online realm of activism and discussed strategic plans with our friends in the patriot movement, we’ve made a big decision that we believe will bring about significant new direction for our core base.
During the next few weeks the Patriot Caucus will begin a merger with the Patriot Action Network. If you aren’t familiar with the Patriot Action Network, it’s essentially the largest active network of patriot activists on the web.
The Patriot Action Network has a social network with approximately 90,000 members. Their umbrella group, Grassfire.org, communicates with more than 1.2 MILLION activists via email on a regular basis.
Like our group, the Patriot Action Network didn’t show up AFTER the Historic April 15th (2009) Tax Day Tea Party. Instead, the network was working to develop action networks well before the modern day tea party movement got its name.
We still have some very neat things planned under the Patriot Caucus brand, but we’ll be moving over to the Patriot Action Network to unify with their efforts.
This is important for the following reasons: 1. We believe unity is badly needed within the movement and amongst various groups that take an authentic, humble approach to organized activism. 2. With our efforts combined, we’ll no longer be duplicating efforts and we can now work alongside each other with bigger numbers moving forward. 3. Because we’re combining our efforts, we’re able to create a suite of high end tools that will better equip movement activists for the battles ahead. 4. Instead of networking with 7,000 members of the Patriot Caucus social network, you’ll now be plugged in with almost 100,000 once the two networks are combined.
2012 is a mega year for the movement. It’s a do or die situation for what liberty we have left. If we don’t pull off an extraordinary victory next year, we fear the damage America has been dealt might be irreversible.
This “marriage” of efforts will not require you to do anything. We’ll be moving out of Ning and into a custom built social network. When the time comes, we’ll automatically move your profile to the new network.
This is a big move for us and our friends at the Patriot Action Network are helping us through the entire process.
