Over the past years those of us who believe in fewer taxes, smaller government and more personal freedoms have become engaged in the battle over the direction and the future of our country. We have all fought hard to protect our freedoms, yet there is so much more to do.

Right now we’re in the midst of the most important policy battles over government spending of our lifetime. Debt ceilings, balanced budgets, Homeland Security, Social Security reform, Medicaid reform, regulatory reform, what’s it all mean and how is it going to affect our pocket books?

Once again it is the 3rd Wednesday of the month and I have a board meeting that conflicts with this meeting. Will we continue next year with Wednesday meetings? I need to know so that I can try to set our board meetings for another day of the week in 2012.
